Changes to the Theory and Hazard Perception Test
As from 3rd September 2007, the theory part of the Theory and Hazard Perception Test will change.
The total number of questions asked will increase from 35 to 50 and the pass mark will increase from 35 to 43. The duration of the test will also increase from 40 minutes to 57 minutes.
Smoking Ban and Vehicles used on Driving Test
Smoking in vehicles used as workplaces is now banned in England. Although this legislation will mainly apply to vehicles owned by driving instructors, candidates taking a driving test in their own vehicles must now ensure that the vehicle does not contain tobacco smoke.
An examiner may refuse to conduct a driving test if a vehicle contains tobacco smoke.
